The EU’s Eastern Enlargement and Differentiated Democracy Support

SHAPEDEM-EU recently published a new article on the EU’s Eastern enlargement and differentiated democracy support.

In the article, produced within the framework of the European Democracy Hub, Irakli Sirbiladze and Elena Ventura address the complex nexus between EU enlargement and the Union’s democracy support policies in its Eastern Neighbourhood. The authors call for a differentiated EU approach towards Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia to advance democratic reform in these countries.
