Kawakibi Democracy Transition Center

Kawakibi Democracy Transition Center (KADEM) is a technical, non-governmental organization specialized in knowledge transfer, expertise-sharing and capacity-building in the field of democratic transition. It is founded on the principle of partnership among organizations and experts in Tunisia, across the Arab region and beyond.

The Centre's main areas of expertise are Elections, Justice and Transitional Justice, Institutional Reform and Civic Space.

Role within SHAPEDEM-EU

KADEM will support a number of partners of the Consortium in implementing their work and especially the findings of Work Packages 3, 4, 6 and 7 in the Southern Neighbourhood.
